BIEN 2025, Textile Art Biennial: Opening of the Biennial in Jesenice
Jesenice – from the Dolik Gallery to the Stara Sava Museum District
4. 6. 2025
Heritage, sustainability and social impact form the core principles of BIEN 2025, the Textile Art Biennial. The event aims to bring contemporary textile art closer to diverse audiences, highlighting the positive effects of textile creation practices in today’s world. Every two years, BIEN takes its transformative exhibitions to various locations across the Gorenjska and Gorica regions. The theme of BIEN 2025 – air – is explored through a variety of interdisciplinary projects. The biennial will unfold across Kranj, Škofja Loka, Idrija, Nova Gorica, Gorica, Tržič and Jesenice. Jesenice will host the opening of the Biennial on 4 June 2025, with a special performance by chamber singers from the Jesenice Music School. Exhibitions will be spread across key locations in the town, including the Dolik Gallery, Jesenice Market Square, Stara Sava Square, and the Kolpern Banquet Hall.
The full BIEN 2025 festival runs from 31 May to 14 August 2025.
