Buckwheat potica

Although the cuisine of Bela krajina is full of excellent salty specialities, the region can also brag about its mouth-watering desserts. The potica is made from buckwheat dough filled with cream, curd, eggs, sugar and raisins. The local housewives used to prepare it in autumn when they had fresh buckwheat flour. It is most delicious when eaten warm.
