Brežice: Pehlivanian Professional Opera Academy – L’Elisir d’Amore, Opera

Under the baton of Maestro George Pehlivanian, participants of the Professional Opera Academy, joined by Slovenia’s finest young orchestral musicians, will bring Donizetti’s celebrated comic opera L’elisir d’amore to life with passion, talent and youthful energy. First performed in 1832, this delightful tale follows the lovestruck Nemorino, who places his hopes in a mysterious “love potion” sold by a travelling charlatan in an attempt to win the heart of the spirited Adina. Audiences can look forward to an evening of outstanding vocal artistry and unforgettable music in a truly magical castle setting.
