The magnificent setting of Idrija’s Gewerkenegg Castle will provide the backdrop for one of the most beloved comic operas of all time. Gaetano Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore tells the witty and charming story of the shy Nemorino, who hopes to win the heart of the clever Adina with the help of a mysterious potion sold by a travelling charlatan. This timeless operatic masterpiece will be brought to life by talented participants of the Professional Opera Academy led by Maestro George Pehlivanian, accompanied by Slovenia’s finest young orchestral musicians.
